I am teaching a Professional Photographers of America Super Monday class. Super Monday is a day where professional photographers all around the country teach a class for their fellow photographers. PPA Members can earn a merit towards their photographic masters degree.

Registration is through the PPA website: http://www.ppa.com/education-events/sm/states/sm_states_co.php

Here is the class description:

Flash Made Easy: A Class for Beginners and Natural Light Photographers
Most people avoid flash because they believe it is too complicated to learn or too difficult to use. If this sounds like you, join Matt to learn just how easy flash can be. You’ll learn incredibly simple tips on how to use flash in studio and on location, including topics such as:

  • Letting the flash do all the work for you
  • How to use flash to in natural light images
  • Where and why to use flash
  • How a $30 piece of equipment can double and triple your lights
  • How to choose the right equipment for what you are shooting
  • Understanding how to light a portrait
  • Learning all about modifiers

This will be a very hands-on class, and you will be both working with the equipment and shooting a model(s). Plus, you’ll walk away with photos to review at home as well as digital versions of the course materials!

Early bird registration is through April 25th for $99. After that date, right up to registering on-site, the class is $120. Please note that this class is offered through PPA and I do not receive compensation for teaching the class, other than merits towards earning my photographic degree. Therefore there will not be a meetup posted for this class.
